FROM THE COMMITTEE ROOM – JANUARY 2019
We welcome you back to the club from the Xmas/New Year break. We hope you all had an enjoyable time and are looking forward to some good times on the green.
At the moment some divisions are looking to ‘’win’’ so we won’t be demoted next season.
‘’Good luck to all’’
By now most of us know it was with regret that we had to withdraw our Division 7 side (5th team) due to difficulties filling the team, meaning that few players are now in a rotation system each week. Please be understanding and help our selectors with this difficult task.
Most club tournaments are now completed and the winners will be presented with their medals at an evening on the 9th March. Please watch the notice board for final details. We urge as many as possible to attend as we will have a few dignitaries and sponsors attending. This is a Saturday an a ‘’no bowls day’’ with the last game being the 16th of March
We have a few of our members not enjoying the best of health at the moment, so we wish them all well and a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing them on the green soon.
As usual, we urge all members to keep an eye on the notice board for all upcoming events.
We are pleased to announce that ‘’the Police Bowling Club’’ have approached us to use our greens in the next season for a day or two. We welcome them and some of our committee members will be helping them organize the day.
All keep well

Three Bowls Tournament
On Sunday, September 16, 2018, Rick Smith, President, announced that the Bowling Committee had voted in favour of a motion that from 2019 the Three Bowls Tournament would be renamed to the “David Bailey Memorial Day.” The announcement was greeted by applause and cheering.
